Sunday’s Jump Festa anime event in Japan has announced that the massively popular manga-turned-anime series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” will be getting a traditional Noh-Kyōgen stage play that is scheduled to have a summer and winter run in Osaka and Tokyo come 2022.

‘Demon Slayer’ stage play next year

Well-known Kyogen stage actor Nomura Mansai II is said to make an appearance in the play as he too will be the one directing according to Anime News Network

For the uninitiated, Kyōgen is a traditional theatrical performance art alongside Noh which is the one that emphasizes poetry, drama, dance, and music, not to mention that it leans towards the serious side of things. Kyōgen, on the other hand, is Noh’s exact opposite as it is focused on some light-hearted topics.

Enter: Daki

Meanwhile, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s” anime series has delved into its second season as it made its way to its Entertainment District arc. The anime’s most recent episode has finally introduced the latest demon villain – Daki.

The third episode of the anime series made good on the presentation of the newest major villain as she had been teased through previous promos by the time the Entertainment District arc was initially revealed to fans, Comicbook reports

Daki is said to be a member of the collective dubbed the Upper Ranks that made the entertainment district their hideout as they’ve been eliminating Hashiras (high-ranking combatants in the Demon Slayer Corps) and making them a part of their menu.

That said, it is believed that this new villain will be the toughest that Tanjiro will be facing off to date from the way she was introduced.

Still, on “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s” third episode, it was learned that it was Zenitsu who was the one working inside the courtesan house where Daki is also working and hiding. However, fans might recall that in episode two, a demon has held Tengen’s wife – Makio – captive in the courtesan house where Inosuke works. It later discovered that it was just something Daki did during the day as she’s been utilizing her scarf as part of her body.
