An individual claiming to be Kyoujurou Rengoku, a character from the famous manga and anime series Kimetsu no Yaiba, gave 100,000 Yen or about $866 in cash to Fujimi City Hall in February 9. In addition to the character’s name, an envelope containing cash was put in a town hall opinion box with the inscription, “Please utilize it for the good of the people.”
Kyjur Rengoku is a prominent anime character from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. He is well renowned for his joyful and supportive big brother-like nature.
The city of Fujimi intends to use the funds for social welfare programs as assistance to the elderly and disabled, according to the written post on the Anime News Network website. Another anonymous donor gave 100 masks to a nursing school in Iwate Prefecture last year.
The Anonymous Donor
Under the hidden name Kyoujurou Rengoku, an anonymous do-gooder donated 100,000 Yen or around $866 to Fujimi City Hall on February 9. The cash was dropped off in an envelope in the municipal building’s comment box, according to city staff. “Please use it for the good of the people”, the patron wrote on the envelope.
Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Synopsis
