A person who is in the country illegally was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl who was mentally incapacitated in Alabama. The suspect, Pablo Mendoza, 23, was taken into custody in Enterprise, Ala., and charged with first-degree rape for the incident that occurred on Feb. 20.
The girl was unable to give consent due to her condition. Mendoza, who is not legally in the US, will be sent back to his home country once the legal process is complete. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) criticized President Biden for his stance on immigration in response to this arrest.
