An investigation into a death is ongoing following the discovery of a body near a set of train tracks in Selmont. The Selma Police Chief, Kenta Fulford, mentioned that the body was sent to forensics for identification and to establish the cause of death.
It seems the body had been in that location for a few weeks. Workers noticed the body last week as they started working along the tracks near Old Montgomery Highway in Selmont.
