Following a tragic shooting within a North Carolina McDonald’s on Sunday, an 18-year-old male faces a murder charge. Around 6:20 p.m., gunfire was reported.

McDonald’s is located at 1700 Trawick Road, near Interstate 440, on the corner of New Bern Avenue and according to a 911 caller, Demetrice Dorell Johnson, 32, of a Sunday shooting was eating at a Raleigh McDonald’s when a man approached him and shot him.

During the confrontation, a man received gunshot wounds, the incident took place inside the restaurant, according to Raleigh police. According to police, the victim died as a result of his injuries. The motives for the attack remained unclear. The restaurant was surrounded by crime scene tape, and police were interviewing McDonald’s staff.
