A bunch of fresh faces have popped up at the Troy football complex recently. Not just the coaching staff, but the whole place is buzzing with new energy. According to the reports, the Trojans are in a transition phase with a new coaching staff led by Gerad Parker after Jon Sumrall’s departure.
They are also rebuilding the team with many key players graduating or transferring out and this is one good news for the fans. ESPN’s Bill Connelly’s stats show that Troy is ranked 129th out of 134 FBS teams in “returning production” for 2024, with only a few teams bringing back fewer players.
He is working pretty hard to bring in new talent, with around 39 new players joining the program before summer workouts. However, the main focus is on building a strong team culture and aligning everyone towards the same goal. This journey to reshape the roster is kicking off with spring practice, setting the tone for the upcoming season.
