Centre Volunteers in Medicine holds fundraising campaign for its dental clinic

Centre Volunteers in Medicine is running a fundraising campaign all through March to support their dental clinic, which served as many dental patients in the first six months of this fiscal year as it did in the entire previous year. Darion Shawley, the Marketing Coordinator for the clinic, emphasized the importance of raising funds to ensure continued dental care for those in need.

Shawley highlighted, “Providing free care comes at a cost. In the last year alone, we delivered over $61,000 worth of free services.” This year marks the first time CVIM has been able to serve patients without a waitlist, and Shawley expressed her hope that the campaign will sustain this progress. Additionally, she mentioned that the campaign aims to raise awareness about the clinic.

“If you’re unable to contribute financially, your support through spreading the word via word of mouth, social media, and other means would be greatly appreciated,” she added. Shawley noted that the campaign utilized press releases, social media, emails, and letters to reach out, resulting in positive responses from donors.
