A death investigation is currently ongoing as authorities respond to a body discovered near train tracks in Selmont. Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford mentioned that the body, which seemed to have been there for a few weeks, was found by railroad workers.
The body has been sent for forensic analysis to establish its identity and determine the cause of death. This incident occurred last week when workers noticed the body while working near the tracks close to Old Montgomery Highway in Selmont.
