The Marengo County Sheriff’s office nabbed a man regarding a shooting incident in Gallion that occurred on Monday evening.
At approximately 5 p.m. on April 1, Bernard Walker, 73, was apprehended by Sheriff’s officers on charges of three counts of attempted murder and three counts of reckless endangerment. The arrest of Walker was in connection to a shooting incident at 32468 Highway 43 in Gallion.
Initially, the Demopolis Police Department (DPD) responded to a 911 call around 4 p.m., reporting that three individuals had been shot at the residence in Gallion.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they caught Walker during a traffic stop. Marengo County Sheriff Robert Alston mentioned that DPD officers then went to the residence and started investigating the crime scene.
“DPD went to the residence, secured the area, and initiated the processing,” Alston explained. “The Sheriff’s Office assumed control of the case because of the residence’s location.”
