Alabama had a chilly start this morning with temperatures ranging from the low 20s in the north to the upper 30s and mid-40s near the coast. Haleyville was the coldest spot at 23 degrees. The day is expected to be warmer than Monday in many areas, except maybe in south Alabama.
Another cold night is coming, with temperatures falling into the 30s in some parts but staying above freezing in most spots. The week will gradually warm up, with highs in the 70s expected by tomorrow. Rain is forecasted for Thursday, but no severe weather is expected.
Warmer temperatures are likely into next week, with above-average temperatures expected through March 28 according to NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center.
