A 33-year-old man was shot to death on Friday morning. It was when authorities say he broke into a McCalla home and later got into a huge trouble. Jefferson County sheriff’s department were dispatched early morning at around 4:25 am to a report of a person shot at a house in the 6600 block of Newbridge Drive. The cops arrived to find the intruder dead. Lt. Joni Money said it appears the man broke into the home.
He then got into a physical fight with the residents once he reached inside. The intruder did know at least one of the people who live at the place.
During that fight, th msg went down and one of the residents pulled a gun and fired shots. The name of the slain man has not yet been released but it is expected to be released soon. The investigation is still going and people across the place are waiting for more details. The man, who found himself in trouble is the 27th homicide so far this year in all of Jefferson County.
