The television personality said she had ended her 16-year engagement over the weekend and admitted she was “shocked, upset, and disappointed.”
On Sunday morning, Vanessa posted a video that provided further information about their breakup and discussed her plans.
She explained: “Well, my relationship with Ben has ended after 16 years, and I honestly didn’t know what to say to you on Instagram. That’s why I haven’t been on Instagram for three weeks.
But now that it’s obvious that the relationship is over, I believe that once trust in a partnership has been lost, it cannot be gained again. This is what I would advise anyone else to do.
“So I just wanted to say, obviously I feel quite sorry, and I’m pretty disappointed and astonished, and all those dreadful things,” the presenter continued.
However, they are also resolute. Since I won’t allow this to defeat me. I’m very happy to be around longer than my mother was.
She passed away at age 57, and I’ll be 61 the following month, boldly stated Vanessa. I’m thankful to be alive and want to keep feeling that way. I also want to rejoice and laugh wherever I can, and I know it won’t be easy, but I’m determined to succeed.
