The concept of Tea House is as old as history. Still, the first Anime Teahouse will open in northern Siskiyou County, is set to open in January at 212 Butte St. The first of its kind, the teahouse is opening at 212 Butte St. across the street from the Post Office. reports the siskiyoudaily.com.
According to Owner Andrea Weary, the Anime Teahouse is scheduled to open for business in January, and all arrangements are going in full swing. Andrea is not new to the tea business and has been selling teas all around the year at different craft fairs and events in Siskiyou County. It includes the Siskiyou Golden Fair in August. This new endeavor is the culmination of her passion for amine, manga, and tea.

Andrea feels that nothing can be more satisfying than reading a manga and sipping one of her signature tea blends.
“I’m excited to be offering something different to the community,” she said,
Weary further revealed that her store would feature the teas’ rarest and offer tea accessories and anime merchandise for sale, including pots, infusers, and other items.
Anime Teahouse took two years to complete
Weary added that it took more than two years to perfect the tea house with anime. Weary said that she got support for her venture when she took part in craft fairs and the Siskiyou Golden Fair. Several people encouraged her and told her how excited they were to have the store coming to town.
Anime was a childhood passion, and Weary reminiscence how she would run home each day to watch the popular Japanese animated show “Robotech.”
Andrea Weary boasts a degree in the Chinese language from the University of California, Berkeley. She has also completed a master’s in teaching from San Francisco State University. In addition, she is a teacher of the visually impaired for the Siskiyou County Office of Education.
The Tea house boasts several unique teas with fancy names like Lady Fae Tea or Gentleman Tranquility Tea. Even a Witchy Women Tea is laced with eucalyptus leaves, blueberries, currants, green tea, hawthorn, rosehip, hibiscus, and natural flavors.
