According to Pennsylvania State Police, on Thursday, troopers assisted the United States Marshals for arresting Malcolm Jacob Derr, 19, from Madison County, Alabama.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, in connection to a Huntsville murder, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The Huntsville Police Department wanted Derr in connection to a March 23 murder on Lakeview Drive. On that day, officers located 18-year-old Joseph Collins of Madison dead from gunshot wounds.
Investigators with HPD later learned that Derr may be in the Pennsylvania area and alerted U.S. Marshals. Troopers and marshals took Derr into custody during a traffic stop in Stroudsburg, Pa. on Thursday.
He is being held at Monroe County Correctional Facility without bail, awaiting extradition to Alabama.
