Laura Benanti, a TV actress and Tony Award contender, shared heartbreaking news when she revealed she had miscarried three days prior.
“I had a miscarriage while giving a performance on stage in front of 2000 people. The event seemed obvious to me. It started out gently the previous evening. I probably wouldn’t have been able to continue if it had been our first defeat, let alone our second. Yet regrettably, I have experienced the sorrow and emptiness of miscarriage before. With my husband by my side, I have traveled this route before,” she wrote.
The Broadway Cruise’s Tony champion Laura Benanti is speaking out about the miscarriage she had while onstage before a 2,000-person audience. The singer shared a selfie from her concert on Monday and discussed the setback in her fertility process on Instagram.

Benanti and her spouse Patrick Brown have two daughters together: surrogate-born Louisa, who is eight months old, and Ella, who is six.
She said, “This time, we walked it with some of the most kind and compassionate people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I want to express my gratitude to everyone in the crowd for the grace they provided. For removing my sadness throughout that holy hour. On a five-night Broadway Cruise, Benanti, 43, performed alongside Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, and Randy Rainbox.
