Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley are all set to star in ‘The Thursday Murder Club’, with the star Chris Columbus as writer and director of the movie. The movie is an adoption for the British TV producer and host Richard Osman’s tale of the same name. On Tuesday, The Osman released the news on his podcast, The rest is Entertainment. Amblin Entertainment, the production house of Steven Spielberg is making it.
The story is related to three geriatric friends in a retirement home get together to resolve murder for enjoyment, but they find them caught in real case. Ex-spy Elizabeth will play the role of Mirren, ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim will play the role if Kingsley and The former union activist Ron will play role of Brosnan.
Osman said that the shooting of this film will start in the UK at the end of the June and it is expected windup to September. The Columbus are director of “Home Alone, Mrs Doubtfire and Harry potter” are directing and adopting Osman’s best selling book for the big screen.Osman’s tale, his first novel as an author, he sold more than ten million copies of the novel and this led to many sequel books. In 2020, he sold all the rights on “The Thursday Murder Club” to Spielberg.
Osman is most popular for the best British TV presenter on BBC game show ‘The Pointless’ and Richard Osman’s House of the Game. He has frequent presence on UK comedy shows such as 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown. Previously his career on-screen, he was a famous entertainment Tv executive.
