Netflix declared on Thursday during its Geeked Week Livestream that it will only stream the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Senkō no Hathaway) anime film.
Update: The film will start gushing on Netflix on July 1.
Netflix likewise uncovered that it will start streaming the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, Mobile Suit Gundam I, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow, and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space films on June 18.
The film opened in Japan on Friday.
The film was recently postponed multiple times. The film was initially scheduled to open in Japan on July 23, yet was postponed because of COVID-19. The film was postponed in April from May 7 to May 21, and was then deferred again last month because of the all-inclusive highly sensitive situation pronounced in Japan. The present status of the crisis is planned to go on until June 20.
The film was initially intended to play in 214 theaters, an establishment record high. A few performance centers will separate the film 4D and Dolby Cinema beginning on the first day of the season. Dolby Cinemas will likewise screen the initial 15 minutes and 53 seconds of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack before the film. The film’s restricted version Blu-beam Disk will go discounted on June 11.
