Carolina Panthers adding former Alabama All-American

According to the reports by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo the former Alabama standout defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson is signing with the Carolina Panthers. “The Panthers have agreed to terms with veteran DT A’Shawn Robinson on a three-year, $22.5 million deal, source says,” Garafolo wrote recently talking about the situation.
“Following a year with the Giants, Robinson reunites with Ejiro Evero, the former Rams assistant and now DC who pushed for Robinson.” This transaction stems from the Panthers’ attempts to make a decent chunk of their roster, as they finished with the league’s worst record in the two major seasons. Additionally, Brian Burns, Carolina’s best edge rusher, signed with the Giants–Robinson’s most recent team this time.

The 46th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft spent the first four seasons of his career. And this is with the Detroit Lions before the Los Angeles Rams grabbed him as a free agent. Few years ago, his second year with the Rams, Robinson was a major factor in the team’s Super Bowl run, as he finished with 22 tackles in four playoff games and a sack in the big game.
Later, his contract expired at the end of the 2022 season, the Giants picked Robinson up for a one-year deal. In all the 17 games (13 starts) this past season, Robinson logged 62 tackles, including six for loss, but New York decided to not extend him.
