The Voter Participation Center and the Center for Voter Information have responded to the Alabama Secretary of State’s concerns regarding misleading mailers.
They emphasize their focus on assisting underrepresented populations and have aided over 6.1 million individuals in registering to vote.
The organizations maintain that their mailer programs have positively impacted voters. President and CEO Tom Lopach highlighted that eligible Alabamians can easily complete the state voter registration form provided, and if already registered, they can simply disregard the mailer.
The organizations use official voter registration forms endorsed by county election officials and inform state election officials in advance of their mailings to ensure transparency.
