Her father is Winslet’s first husband, Jim Threapleton. she also has two half-brothers on her maternal side Joe Mendes who goes by Joe Anders, and co-stars in I Am Ruth. And Bear Blaze Winslet. On her father’s side, she has two half-sisters, Olivia and Georgia.

What does Mia Threapleton spoke about her character in I Am Ruth?
“This was the very first time that we had ever collaborated together. She has indeed been my mother for 21 years, but we’ve never worked together before, and it was truly cool. It was great and really enjoyable,” Threapleton said of working with her mom on I Am Ruth.
She also stated that playing those roles as a real mother and daughter “helped in a way because the chemistry, connection, and emotional bond between us as a mother and daughter who are very close to each other was already there.”
Threapleton later described her experience working with filmmaker Dominic Savage as “extremely unique.”
“I’m still very new to this industry, and I’m grateful for any potential to do any work whatsoever, then being displayed with this sort of chance to be part of the art and to be able to speak so openly and freely about creative ideas, thoughts, or viewpoints has been really phenomenal,” she added.
“Dominic as a filmmaker is indeed very serene. He is a calm, thoughtful person. I must tell he deeply thinks through before saying, and I felt as if he understood the mutual enthusiasm we both had to consider this as actual and real as possible.”

Kate Winslet may be the biggest fan of her daughter Mia Threapleton!
The 47-year-old Academy Awardee spoke to BBC One’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg in the week, discussing working on their drama series, I Am Ruth, with her 22-year-old daughter.
According to The Daily Mail, Winslet said of her daughter, “Actually, I was really astounded by her.” “I honestly believe she didn’t require my assistance at all.”
“Occasionally, I could consider introducing her to a technical tactic every now and then, a few little aspects I acquired over the years, like modifying an eye line… Tiny things just like this, that no one instructs you, and she gratefully received that stuff,” she explained.
When it stepped to acting, however, Winslet acknowledged that her child would say, “I’m good,” and try it of her own.
“There were also times when I’d say, ‘Could I just have just one?’ ‘No, I’m good,’ she described.”
